Nu börjar biobesökssiffrorna för Eclipse trilla in. Filmen har givetvis spelat in en hel del pengar vilket aldrig var oväntat. Från tisdag (midnattsvisningar) till lördag har filmen dragit in 162 miljoner dollar i USA! I onsdags på premiären spelade den in 68,5 miljoner dollar, detta lite mindre än då New Moon hade premiär en fredag.

I Sverige är sifforna inte heller dåliga, rättare sagt magiska. 214 000 st har redan sett filmen. Detta är färsk och officiell info från Nordisk Film. Verkligen jättekul att se att filmen gör succé!

I en intervju med Pop Sugar berättar manusförfattaren Melissa Rosenberg att hon är lättad över att Breaking Dawn kommer att bli två filmer.

PopSugar: How did you feel about the decision to split Breaking Dawn into two movies?

Melissa Rosenberg: Relief, actually, because it was going to be quite a challenge to condense such a large book into one movie. That’s always the challenge with all of these and, more so, Breaking Dawn. Having a little more room to breathe is nice . . . on the other hand, there’s also the challenge of making sure there’s enough to fill two movies.

MR: Stephenie is very involved. My relationship with her has only gotten better with every movie. When I met her and began to engage, I had no reason to be protective. I found her to be extremely collaborative and a tremendous resource. So I began to engage her more and that happened more on New Moon and even more in Eclipse . . . She weighs in on every draft of the outline, every draft of the script. She’s on set. She’s very involved.

Now that Eclipse has hit theaters and broken box office records, Twilight fans are already anxiously awaiting the next onscreen chapter in Bella and Edward's love story: Breaking Dawn. We talked exclusively to Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter behind all of the Twilight films, to find out what we can expect from the final two installments. She weighed in on whether or not Bella's childbirth scene will make it to the screen, shared her most surprising fan moment, and dished on her creative relationship with Stephenie Meyer.

PS: We've heard there are some scenes you want to avoid showing on screen in Breaking Dawn. For example, Bella giving birth. Can you tell us why?
MR: That was a misquote. The childbirth — all the scenes, I feel — should be on screen. I think perhaps what I was referring to was, would we actually see Edward's teeth through the placenta? I don't think so. I don't think we need to see that, and if someone needs to see that, I think they should take a look at that. [Laughs.] I believe it will be implied, but I don't think we'll see teeth in the placenta.

PS: What responsibility do you feel toward the fans? Are they on your mind during the writing process?
MR: The responsibility I feel to the fans? Well, there's one: making them happy, of course. I want people to enjoy the movie and not feel that I killed their favorite novel! But what I've realized is, you can't satisfy all the people. But the real weight that I feel is a very heavy responsibility, knowing that a lot of women and young girls are seeing this, and watching to make sure that what's portrayed in the film is that Bella's a strong female role model. That the messages they're getting are positive ones.

PS: What's the craziest or most surprising fan reaction you've experienced?
MR: You can't call it crazy, but crazy wonderful. I just came back from Paris. I was there [for a press junket] with some of the actors: Daniel Cudmore, Edi Gathegi, Michael Welch, and Alex Meraz. At the end, there was this closing ceremony and we were told there was a surprise for us, and they led us out on the stage . . . and the entire audience was sort of standing in this darkened theater, almost as if in prayer. It was very odd. And then after a moment, Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" starts up, and they break into a dance they've been choreographing for three days. This wonderful, very unified dance, and it was amazing. We were stunned. A thousand pairs of hands all raised to the beat at the same time — it's a powerful experience . . . I wondered, could that have happened anywhere else but in France? Would American audiences have been too cool?

PS: What is one of your favorite scenes from the books or films? Is there one you've especially enjoyed writing or look forward to writing?
MR: There are a number. I think seeing Bella as a vampire and her adjusting to her powers and embracing them, those are all really fun scenes to write. Particularly when you picture Kristen Stewart playing her, and the way she's embodied Bella as a sort of awkward, fidgety persona. When she turns into a vampire, all of that goes away.

SPOILERS IFRÅN BREAKING DAWN- den fjärde boken!

När Melissa Rosenberg var på en Twilight Convention i Paris förra helgen svarade hon på frågor kring Breaking Dawn och hur de skall göra med upplägget från boken till filmerna.

Nedan är ett utdrag från intervjun:

We now know that the last album, ”Breaking Dawn” will be divided into two films. Do you already know how you do it?
For me, there is a natural separation in the book. I do not know yet exactly when we will stop in the first film, but in the first part of the book ”Breaking Dawn” Bella is human, just married and pregnant while in the second part is a vampire and a mother. So somewhere in this transition, there is a natural separation. But I do not know yet exactly where it will be. It works.

Will you keep the book of Jacob?
No, we will not keep. Eclipse is a good way to introduce the book of Jacob, because in this film, we begin to move away from the simple perspective of Bella. We will see that the newborns, the Volturi … we’re really starting to move away from its point of view alone. So in Revelation, having the vision of Jacob on what will happen almost naturally. We will also maybe you can share other points of view.

The last album is really darker, more violent and more adult than the other three books. Will you keep these aspects in the adaptation?
Yes, absolutely! I think we can make a film more adult, more violent and sexy, while remaining accessible to the youngest. In fact, I do not see gallons of blood everywhere, I do not think this is necessary. I find instead that show everything away the suspense, horror … I would prefer the way all this through Bella. Nevertheless everything is there, we are absolutely not shy from it all. We see for example the love scene between Edward and Bella, and the feathers will be at the rendezvous! (Laughter) As the scene of childbirth, which will be filmed as directed by the director. But we all agree that this scene appears in the film, and it is as close as possible to the book. He should expect a scene of horror!

Det är helt ofattbart att kunna skriva att Breaking Dawn (sista boken i serien) alldeles snart kommer att bli film. Som ni nog vet så kommer den att bli två filmer. Inspelningarna börjar i november detta året och första filmen kommer ut den 18 november 2011 på bio.

Nu till syftet med det här inlägget. Sedan Breaking Dawn utkom den 2 augusti 2008 har vi undvikit att skriva spoilers från boken. Ni som läst boken (antar att det är många av er), vet ju att det händer en hel del oväntade saker i den…

I och med att det var så pass länge sen boken kom ut och att filmerna snart börjar göras, tycker vi att det skulle vara intressant att höra era åsikter kring detta med spoilers.

Vi känner själva att det nog är dags att “lätta på spoilerbromsen”. Våra motiveringar är bl.a att det i framtiden kommer att komma mycket info kring filmatiseringarna- t.ex vem som ska spela vem (tänk de nya karaktärerna) samt att det ändå var dryga två år sedan boken kom ut.

Det finns givetvis alltid de som ännu inte läst boken, som kanske är inne på den första. Men tänk då, folk hittar ju hela tiden Twilight-serien och här på sajten förekommer ju alla möjliga spoilers från Twilight, New Moon och Eclipse.

Summit Entertainment har på sin twitter bekräftat att den andra Breaking Dawn-filmen kommer ut på bio den 16 november 2012. Den första filmen kommer att ha premiär den 18 november nästa år. Så spännande!

Ärligt talat trodde jag att del 2 av BD skulle komma ut sommaren 2012 men jag tycker att det är bra att det inte går så fort! Vad tycker ni?

Däremot kommer båda BD-filmarna att filmas samtidigt. Inspelningarna börjar till senhösten/ vintern och kommer att pågå ca 6 månader.

Nu inför inspelningen utav Breaking Dawn filmen så är det en hel del rykten som cirkulerar runt på internet. Summit har nu gått ut med ett officiellt meddelande på vad som stämmer och inte.

Lexicon touched base regarding a rumor about Renesmee’s name changing in BREAKING DAWN. I cleared it up with them, but let me tell you as well – it is FALSE.

Amanda (Twi Examiner) asked about Riley’s appearance in BREAKING DAWN because it was listed on Xavier’s IMDb page. I already told her, but in case you did not see her post, Riley will not appear in the BREAKING DAWN films. It is a rumor

Also not confirmed is anything you have heard about the US release date of the ECLIPSE DVD. We have not announced it yet, so unless it is international and confirmed by an international distributor, it is a rumor
